“ Palimpseste » collection”
From the Ancient Greek « palimpsestos » ,
Palimpsest is a parchment that has already been used and its inscriptions erased so it could be used again
Like in the « Homme de peu » collection, the obsession of non artificial faces still remains, only the approach is different, even contrary.
The background is polished first, then scratched to give way to life. Faces are printed, more or less definite, skulls reminding us of mortality or faces, memories of our experience.
