©SARTSPACE

Out of a vision to increase awareness and interest in International art with a specific focus to develop and promote the diversity of the culture and art from the Caribbean,  S.Artspace, NYC was born. S.A.G., located on the Bowery in a historic landmark building, is a 1200 sq. ft. forum for emerging, contemporary international artists. This lower east side gallery is a creative space where the focus is on  emerging art, performance art and installations. Presenting largely unseen artists whose works are rarely or never exhibited outside of Europe and most recently the caribbean , S.Artspace Gallery is a springboard for international artists to be seen and experienced in the U.S. Our mission is to support the inspiring exchange of art and ideas that extend beyond all cultural borders.

S. Artspace directors, Elizabeth Rosso and Catherine Testorf 's passion and love of the Caribbean  has inspired them to support the diversity and develop the art and culture from the Caribbean. It is a region  that is often stereotyped and misunderstood . Exhibiting and gaining exposure will enable them to extend their reach, generate wider audiences, and bring true awareness to the art, people and culture of the region allowing the artists to express themselves in the global art market and bring a greater understanding to their work.
